Excitement Builds as Karate Champions Gear Up for Yet another Edition of REPUBLIC DAY CUP

In a thrilling display of skill and dedication, martial arts enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the upcoming Karate Tournament scheduled for next month. The Republic Day CUP event is an annually held event which promises to bring together competitors from various disciplines, vying for supremacy in a showcase of martial prowess.

Organized by OSK Federation of India, the tournament is set to take place on 26th 27th and 28th of January 2024, attracting participants from across the India. With categories ranging from traditional forms to sparring, the competition guarantees a dynamic display of technique, strength, and strategy.

Participants are expected to demonstrate their mastery of kata, the choreographed patterns of movements that showcase the principles of karate. In addition, the kumite category will witness fierce battles as fighters engage in controlled, yet intense, one-on-one combat.

Spectators can look forward to witnessing the fusion of tradition and innovation, as competitors bring their unique styles and techniques to the forefront. The tournament not only serves as a platform for showcasing individual talent but also fosters a sense of camaraderie within the martial arts community.

27th SUMMER CAMP CYCLOTHON

27th SUMMER CAMP CYCLOTHON will be held on 28th April 2022 (Thursday).
It will be a 18KM fun ride and we welcome all karate students along with their family and friends. 

* Participants must report directly at Honbu Dojo at 5:00am along with your cycle.
* Wearing of Helmet is mandatory.
* Wear a reflective vest if you have one. 
* Check your cycle before the event and make sure periodic maintenance is done.
* Check air pressure, brakes and lubrication of chain and gears. 
* Wearing Summer camp Marathon T-shirt is  mandatory along with shoes.
* Parents are requested to accompany with two wheelers (Please avoid four wheelers).
* Parents are not allowed to pick-up the participants during the Cyclothon without informing their respective Instructor.
* Hydration support will be provided, so kindly avoid bringing water bottles.
* Registration is free for all* and closes on Wednesday (27th April 2022).

World Record Punches

We are proud to announce the *World Record* of Sempai Aravind NS, Black Belt instructor of OSK Federation of India & Student of Shihan Suresh Kenichira. He is now officially recognised by *International Book of Records* for performing ’the Most Full Extension Punches in a Minute’.

Overall 340 punches were landed in a minute.

To acknowledge his milestone, SNDP Bangalore South felicitated him today at our Honbu Dojo.

OSK Federation wishes him the best for his next attempt for Guinness World Record.

FREE WOMEN'S SELF DEFENSE WORKSHOP

On occasion of International Women's Day (March 8), OSK Federation of India will be organizing a self defense workshop for the family members of OSKFI students, their friends and relatives.

The workshop aims at providing basic knowledge about the art of Karate-Do & its techniques and unique methods of training developed by Shihan Suresh Kenichira.

The workshop also includes the simulation of real life scenarios including the use of common things such as pens, Id's, stoles etc as weapons.

This tournament was organised by the Okinawa Prefecture Government from 1st to 8th August 2018. Shihan Suresh was among the very few who represented India and the only one from Karnataka.

Legendary Grand master and the Founder of Shorin Ryu Shorin Kan Karate-DO Hanshi Shugoro Nakazato made peace with his maker.

Self Defense for Womens @ Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC)

KARATE SUMMER CAMP - 2016

OSK Federation of India will be conducting its Annual Karate Summer Camp from 1st April to 1st May 2016.

Over 50 plus Okinawan certified Instructors along with Sensei Suresh Kenichira will be training the participants.Classes will be organised as per age groups. There will be special SELF DEFENSE TRAINING sessions for Female participants above 8 years of age.

All participants will be awarded certificates and will be eligible to attend the BELT GRADING TEST.

KIAI STATE LEVEL KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP-2015

OSK Federation of India organised its annual KIAI STATE LEVEL KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP-2015 on 21st & 22nd November 2015 in Bangalore. The event was a grand success with over 500 participants competing in various events.

Students of OSK Federation of India participated in the "OPEN NATIONAL LEVEL KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP" held in Chikmagalur and won 6 gold in 6 events.
